Jenny Garrison R.N.

Kripalu Gentle Yoga:   Suitable for all levels, this gentle, inward focused yoga combines breathing and moving. Kripalu Yoga is an approach to Hatha Yoga that integrates the body, the mind and the emotions through gentle yoga postures.

Kripalu, meaning compassion, acknowledges and honors each person’s uniqueness. The practice teaches us how to tune into our inner wisdom so that we can better know our own bodies. Kripalu teaches self-acceptance by being present in the moment and accepting ‘what is’.

Kripalu Yoga combines the asanas of Hatha yoga with pranayama, meditation and compassion. The proper use of breath is considered very important. Asanas are never rushed - poses are more gentle and relaxed. Because Kripalu yoga recognizes that an individual's body and mind are naturally wise, perfection is not the goal. Students are encouraged to become sensitive to the needs of their bodies and make asana adjustments accordingly.
Kripalu Yoga promotes a commonsense practice accessible to everyone and encourages you to listen to your body, the ultimate authority. Pranayama (breathing practices), warm-ups and stretches, asana(postures), and shavasana (deep relaxation) are part of every class.

What is Reflexology?

Reflexology is a gentle, soothing, therapy based on the manipulation and stimulation of reflex areas found on the feet, hands, and other parts of the body.

What does Reflexology Do?

Reflexology can relieve stress and tension within the body.  It improves the circulatory system and lymphatic movement and works to improve nerve function by unblocking impulse pathways. These benefits all work toward helping the body to heal itself by restoring balance to the body’s energy system.  Reflexology encourages the body to return to its homeostasis, its natural state of balance.

Who can benefit from Reflexology?

People of any age can benefit from reflexology treatments. The stimulation of the various reflex areas has a positive effect on the body’s immune system.  Anyone suffering with aches and pains from the stress of daily life can find relief with reflexology.  Reflexology has a long history of promoting relaxation and revitalizing the body.

Full Body Reflexology

Full Body Reflexology is an alignment of the entire body from head to toe using a combination of the Natural Electro-Magnetic Process and Vitatherapy.  The Natural Electro-Magnetic Process is the applying of gentle soothing therapy to restore the body’s natural balance and revitalize the body’s cells.  The body’s electrical energy is used in the Vitatherapy technique to revitalize, cleanse and stimulate the organs in the body by increasing blood circulation.

A Full Body Reflexology session is approximately one hour. The session is conducted on a massage table so wear comfortable clothing.  A Foot Print picture is taken to help see how your body is aligned. Call and make an appointment to see how it feels to have your body aligned and rejuvenated.

SU JOK is an advanced form of Reflexology translated from Korean “SU” means “HAND” and “JOK” means “FOOT”.  SU JOK is a system of massage that relieves tension and treats illness with reflex points on the feet, hands and head which relate to all parts of the body.  SU JOK is an integrated system taking care of both physical and meta-physical aspects of problems with emotions, energy systems, chakras, meridians, and for pain management.  The curative correspondence system in SU JOK is based on the principle of likeness.  The basic function of SU JOK is to evenly distribute the Bio Energy which is present in the body.  When your Bio Energy is in check then your health is in check and you can lead a healthy happy life.

Foot Reflexology $25

Reflexology of the Feet & Hands $30

Sangha:  Mindfulness Meditation with Terry Babb

If you have questions or would like more info please contact Terry directly
cell phone - (570) 787-3540  email address - terrybabb@hotmail.com .

We meet every Thursday evening, beginning January 4, 2018, initially beginning at 6:30 and ending at 8:00 PM. There are no dues or fees. There will be a container where one can give "dana," a free, voluntary donation to help with expenses of having a sangha - like meeting space rent, and, later, purchasing more cushions, etc.

I have been practicing mindful meditation and mindfulness for 4 & a half years, the most recent 3 & a half with the Cedar Cabin Sangha which meets on Wednesday evenings from 7:30 to 9 PM in Ithaca, NY.

To understand what the term Sangha means in the tradition in which I practice, please take a look at the information provided here: https://plumvillage.org/mindfulness-practice/sangha-building/ .

Our practice on Thursday nights will mainly use three forms of mindful meditation. The first is a guided meditation, where simple, brief prompts spoken by the person leading are each followed by a silent minute. Next we will do a slow, walking meditation. After we are back seated, something "to ponder" will be read or shown in a video. This normally takes no more than 5 minutes. Then we will meditate silently for 15 to 20 minutes. After that we will have a silent tea (herbal) lasting 4-5 minutes, and then we finish the evening with a period of sharing reflections on our experience of the evening or with meditation in general. All will be thoroughly explained each night we meet.

This practice of mindful meditation is open to all, no matter what one believes. It will not interfere with whatever religion you practice. My experience (and that of others) has been that mindful meditation seems to enhance one's experience of life whether religious or not.

Sincerely, and in peace,

Terry
